While school principal Olga is held captive by a mysterious, vicious co-worker, her teenage daughter Enea and husband Matej, an experimental physicist with innovative theories about Black Holes, find themselves suddenly trapped in a hologram set in the ancient Mongolian desert. Having forgotten the codes that conjured them there, they must survive in the barrenness. They become enchanted observing seer-healer, Mongke, his wife Oyuun and young daughter Enebish, in an adjacent hologram. When Mongke is forced to leave his tribe, evil befalls his family. Helplessly, Enea watches the impending tragedy. Somehow this drama, curiously interwoven with her own fate, gives Enea strength to escape from the hologram and save her Earth family.
